About the Role
A leading chemical company is seeking a Global Associate Procurement Manager to join its procurement team in Barcelona. This role is responsible for developing and executing global procurement strategies, ensuring supply continuity, and optimizing total cost of ownership. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to drive value creation and business success.
Key Responsibilities
- Work in a multicultural environment, engaging with colleagues across different regions and time zones.
- Analyze market trends and supplier portfolios to identify strategic sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and implement global procurement strategies to drive cost savings and efficiency.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts to optimize pricing and quality.
- Support global initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in procurement processes.
- Partner with R&D and Procurement Business Partners to drive portfolio optimization and supplier consolidation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards relevant to the chemical industry.
- Mitigate supply risks by implementing contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies.
- Travel required (approx. 25%).
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in raw materials or direct purchasing.
- Strong commercial acumen and international work experience.
- Proven project management skills and ability to collaborate across global teams.
- Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
