Plant Manager

Overview

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer who is looking to a strong Plant Manager to their team. This role requires excellent leadership skills and an understanding of manufacturing assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute operational plans, strategies, and objectives to achieve production targets and business goals.
• Enhance production processes, resource allocation, and capacity planning to improve plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure operations comply with ISO 9001 standards through a robust, proactive quality management system.
• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
• Manage plant budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising product quality or safety.
• Work closely with the finance department to forecast expenses and contribute to overall financial planning.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging innovation, and implementing best practices to enhance plant performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience within the automotive manufacturing environment, including 3-5 years at the Plant Manager level.
• Prior Tier I Automotive experience preferred.
• Proven experience with Lean (TPS) implementation and development of engaged manufacturing cultures.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Continuous improvement mindset and a track record of implementing process enhancements.
