Plant Manager
Overview
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer who is looking to a strong Plant Manager to their team. This role requires excellent leadership skills and an understanding of manufacturing assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute operational plans, strategies, and objectives to achieve production targets and business goals.
- Enhance production processes, resource allocation, and capacity planning to improve plant efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure operations comply with ISO 9001 standards through a robust, proactive quality management system.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with relevant departments to develop and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Manage plant budgets, monitor expenses, and identify opportunities to optimize costs without compromising product quality or safety.
- Work closely with the finance department to forecast expenses and contribute to overall financial planning.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, encouraging innovation, and implementing best practices to enhance plant performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience within the automotive manufacturing environment, including 3-5 years at the Plant Manager level.
- Prior Tier I Automotive experience preferred.
- Proven experience with Lean (TPS) implementation and development of engaged manufacturing cultures.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Continuous improvement mindset and a track record of implementing process enhancements.
