Job Title: SSEDD Consultant (EHS Specialist)

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled SSEDD Consultant (EHS Specialist) with expertise in the wind energy industry to join our team. In this role, you will provide environmental, health, safety, and sustainability (EHS) support across wind energy projects, ensuring compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and best practices. You will work closely with project teams to assess and mitigate risks, design and implement EHS management systems, and foster a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the lifecycle of wind energy projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor EHS strategies for wind energy projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and provide mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Support project teams in developing EHS training programs and ensure team members are up to date with safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote sustainable and responsible practices in wind energy development.
  • Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to improve safety performance.
  • Assist with regulatory reporting and documentation related to environmental and safety compliance.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on environmental and health and safety issues within the wind energy sector.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in EHS roles within the wind energy industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations, industry standards, and sustainability practices.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Certification in EHS or safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as required.
