Position Summary:
A $4B industry leader in pulp/paper manufacturing is in search of a dynamic and outcome-oriented professional for the role of process control engineer to optimize manufacturing processes. Your responsibilities will encompass assessing current manufacturing processes, devising control strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a wealth of experience in process optimization and a specialized background in relevant fields.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implementing effective manufacturing processes at our plant
- Evaluating and enhancing existing manufacturing processes to meet industry standards
- Conducting quality assurance checks on current processes
- Identifying areas for process optimization
- Assessing the efficiency of manufacturing technologies and equipment
- Collaborating with senior management to drive process control innovation
- Recommending software solutions and automating processes where possible
- Recruiting and training process specialists and teams
- Managing process control operations within budget constraints
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Documenting processes and preparing progress reports
- Staying updated on advancements in process control engineering
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable field
- Minimum three years of experience in process control engineering (Co-op experience included)
- Proficiency in project management and Statistical Process Control (SPC) software
- Allen Bradley PLC troubleshooting
- ABB DCS - preferred
- Deep understanding of industry-specific process control principles
- Ability to uphold industry standards and regulations
