Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Industry Experience: Strong comprehension of food industry quality systems and FDA/USDA regulations, with experience in developing and managing quality assurance and food safety programs.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in COP and CIP, cleaning and sanitizing chemicals, sanitary design of food processing equipment, and internal auditing of food manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Compliance Management: Develop and lead implementation of programs complying with SQF, USDA/FSIS, and FDA regulations for the production of ready-to-eat fresh salads and soups.
- Quality Assurance Leadership: Oversee and lead the facility Quality Assurance team, ensuring all policies, procedures, and practices adhere to regulatory requirements and customer expectations.
- Continuous Improvement: Monitor quality KPIs, analyze data to identify trends, and implement processes for continuous quality improvement and effective process controls.
