Sr. Controls Automation Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Manufacturing Conglomerate Company who is looking to expand its team with a Sr. Controls Automation Engineer. This candidate will be responsible for planning, designing and supervising installation of electrical industrial controls equipment while leading engineering projects.
In this role, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead capital projects in tandem with the Maintenance Team
- Programming and installation of automation systems and interfacing with other factory control systems including PLC's, HMI's, robotics, drives and computers
- Lead initiatives to implement process automation using robots and collaborative robots, enhance manufacturing digitization, and drive IoT initiatives for advanced process analysis and predictive maintenance
- Lead Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action methodologies
- Performs general electrical troubleshooting and downtime support to maintenance and operations teams
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment
- Design Manufacturing Automation and Process Control Systems, including software and graphical (HMI) solutions
- Maintain and optimize manufacturing controls infrastructure, and software
- Troubleshoot production and maintenance issues, offering innovative solutions to improve processes
- Work with equipment suppliers and contractors to oversee the installation and upgrading of production equipment
The Sr. Controls Engineer should have the following qualifications
- B.S Engineering (Required)
- Minimum of 8 years engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Experienced with Siemens & Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with programming/troubleshooting Fanuc robotics a plus
