Role Overview:
As a Business Development Manager for Italy, you'll identify and secure new business, nurture client relationships, and drive the company's growth in Italy. You'll focus on energy, EPC, capital projects, and industrial sectors, using your expertise in project logistics and freight forwarding. The role offers flexible, hybrid working with travel within Italy and internationally.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Business Acquisition: Target and win new business in energy, EPC, capital projects, and industrial sectors.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
- Market Strategy: Analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop strategies to grow market share in Italy.
- Sales & Proposals: Present compelling proposals and highlight the company's expertise in project logistics.
- Internal Collaboration: Work with operational teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Target Achievement: Meet or exceed sales targets to drive company growth in Italy.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in freight forwarding and project logistics, with a proven record in new business development.
- Industry Expertise: Experience with clients in Energy, EPC, Capital Projects, or Industrial sectors preferred.
- Skills:
- Proven ability to win new business and build strategic relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to articulate complex logistics solutions.
- Languages: Fluent in Italian and English.
- Location: Preferably based in Lombardy or Genoa, but flexible for the right candidate.
- Hybrid Working: Flexible hybrid working with required domestic and international travel.
