Key Responsibilities:

  • Commodity Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies for plastic commodities, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.

  • Supplier Management: Manage supplier relationships, ensuring suppliers meet performance targets for cost, quality, and delivery. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier performance.

  • Procurement Transformation: Play an integral role in the company's procurement transformation efforts, ensuring the smooth integration of new systems and processes.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure the strategic alignment of procurement objectives with product development and manufacturing needs.

  • Market Analysis: Stay informed on market trends and innovations in the plastics industry, using this knowledge to inform procurement decisions and strategic planning.

  • Cost Management: Drive cost savings initiatives and track performance against budget, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.


What Our Client Wants:

  • Proven experience in procurement within the automotive industry, ideally with a focus on plastics.

  • Experience in the automotive sector

  • A strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.

  • Strong negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers.

  • German language skills are preferred, but English or basic German is acceptable. The focus is on finding the right experience and mindset.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various teams.

  • A proactive and adaptable approach to change, particularly in the context of a major transformation.
