Maintenance Manager
The Maintenance Manager will oversee the upkeep and repair of various production or processing machines and equipment to minimize downtime. This includes checking, setting up, and operating different types of production tools and equipment before approving them for production use.
Responsibilities:
* Immediately report any issues that may affect plant operations to the General Manager.
* Monitor warranties and service guarantees, and notify personnel of expiration dates
* Conduct monthly inventory checks, record utility meter readings, and order parts and supplies.
* Implement and maintain a preventive maintenance program, monitor boiler water treatment, and oversee contract work and installations by outside vendors.
* Train employees, plan, assign, and direct work, appraise performance, reward and discipline employees, resolve conflicts, and lead team improvement efforts.
* Must be on call 24 hours a day
Qualifications
* 4+ years maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant
* Supervisor experience
* 5+ years experience in the corrugated box industry with heavy experience in electronics, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electricity.
* May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License and/or other appropriate certification to work on certain equipment
Technical Skills:
* Understanding equipment design and functionality to ensure efficient operation, which also aids in training and teaching personnel.
* Ability to address cost-related issues to make daily decisions that reduce overall expenses and identify areas for improvement.
* Familiarity with quality standards to maintain high production quality.
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements, including wage and hour laws, environmental and waste minimization policies, company policies, and personnel regulations such as OSHA, DEQ, and EEO.
