Our client is a pioneering technology-driven energy company, dedicated to providing clean, reliable, and affordable energy on a global scale. Utilising an innovative deep geothermal energy solution, the company delivers a scale-able, renewable, and base load energy source for heat and electricity generation. Their technology offers energy providers a key solution for municipal heat planning.

To strengthen their multidisciplinary international team, we are looking for an experienced Electrical & Automation Maintenance Engineer (m/f/d).

Your Role:

In this position, you will play a key role in the maintenance and optimisation of electrical and automation systems at our project site in Bavaria. Future assignments within Germany and across Europe may be required.

Your Responsibilities:

- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and automation systems within the ORC power plant, including generators, switch-gear, control systems, and instrumentation.

- Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to detect potential electrical or automation issues and implement maintenance strategies to ensure system reliability.

- Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to refine maintenance schedules and optimize system performance.

- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and automation faults, implementing effective solutions to reduce downtime.

- Oversee installation, repairs, and maintenance of electrical equipment while ensuring compliance with safety and industry regulations.

- Manage spare parts inventory for electrical and automation components in coordination with procurement to ensure timely availability.

- Develop and enforce safety protocols and procedures for electrical and automated system maintenance.

- Provide technical support for system upgrades, expansions, and planned maintenance activities.

- Train and mentor maintenance personnel to enhance their expertise in electrical and automation systems.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation of maintenance activities, including equipment status reports, completed tasks, and recommendations for improvements.

Your Qualifications:

- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a comparable qualification (Dipl.-Ing., Master, Bachelor).

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical and automation maintenance, preferably with ORC technology.

- Proficiency with Siemens Simatic 7 PLCs, distributed control systems (DCS), and electrical protection systems.

- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, single-line circuit diagrams, and control loop diagrams.

- Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards within power generation.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

- Fluent in German and English.

- Strong communication skills for effective coordination with cross-functional teams and external service providers.

- Willingness to participate in on-call emergency maintenance situations.

- High flexibility and willingness to travel (approximately 20%).
