Position Summary: They are seeking a skilled Injection Molding Process Engineer to join the team in Rochester, NY. This role is crucial in providing technical support for molding and assembly operations, ensuring product performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams, including hourly line workers, equipment setup personnel, team leads, shift supervisors, quality engineers, and site leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure product performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot production issues and maintain production flow.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects using Lean methodologies.
- Support the procurement and validation of machines, tools, molds, and equipment.
- Provide technical assistance and training to manufacturing teams.
- Participate in daily Gemba walks and Value Stream KPI reviews.
- Prepare and manage capital appropriation requests.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Plastics Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with ISO quality standards.
- Technical expertise in Injection Molding; experience with Blow Molding, Tooling, Assembly/Test Automation, and Clean Rooms is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to implement Lean Management principles.
