Plant Controller
The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting activities at our food and beverage manufacturing facility. This includes budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and management within the manufacturing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, reports, and analysis to support the plant's financial health and operational performance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting updates. Analyze variances between actual results and budget/forecast to ensure effective financial planning.
- Cost Accounting: Oversee all cost accounting activities, ensuring accurate product costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, local, state, and federal regulations, and accounting standards.
- Internal Controls: Develop and maintain effective internal control systems to safeguard the company's assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis and recommendations to plant management to support decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
- Leadership: Manage and develop the plant finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with plant operations, procurement, and supply chain teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
- System Implementation: Lead and support system implementations and upgrades to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in finance or accounting within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
