Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager will drive growth in the food manufacturing sector by managing sales and building strong relationships with school food service directors, brokers, and K12 distributor coordinators within their region. Key responsibilities include working with existing customers, participating in industry events, and ensuring high-quality, nutritious products meet client needs and guidelines. The role involves traveling within the region around 50% of the time, conducting meetings with schools/clients, presenting products, cooking food, and engaging with staff to build trust and answer questions. Excellent communication and presentation skills, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with brokers, are essential.

The Regional Sales Manager will have the following responsibilities:

  • Strong presentation skills to identify customer needs and offer effective solutions.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, brokers, and school distributor coordinators, becoming a trusted contact.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, establishing yourself as a reliable resource.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Collaborate with brokers to create mutually beneficial sales plans and execute them throughout the year.
  • Proficient with technology, utilizing CRM and sales reports to analyze and adjust sales strategies.
  • Travel efficiently, prioritizing customer visits.
  • Driven to succeed with a strong executive presence, always prioritizing customer needs

The Regional Sales Manager will have the following requirements and skill sets:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of sales experience.
  • Proven success in food and beverage sales, with a strong understanding of industry trends and customer needs.
  • Experience selling to schools or group purchasing organizations is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets, driving significant business growth.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach.
  • Skilled in creating lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with clients and stakeholders.
