Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding

Salary: $100,000 - 125,000 + Competitive Commission Structure

The Business Development Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Clearing and Freight Forwarding sector, with a focused-on ocean, air freight, warehousing, and transport services.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve growth and revenue targets.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to secure mutually beneficial terms and long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with operations and commercial teams to ensure seamless service delivery and alignment with client needs.
- Provide input on pricing strategies, operational processes, and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
- Monitor sales performance, prepare regular reports, and present insights to senior management.
- Analyze market conditions and competitor activities to adapt and refine sales strategies.
The Business Development Manager will have the following requirements and skill sets:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in business development, sales, or account management within the freight forwarding industry
- Proven track record of meeting or surpassing sales targets and driving business growth
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and perform well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Adaptable to changing priorities and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
