Quality Engineer

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join our industrial manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality and process integrity by implementing quality control procedures, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role will involve working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to maintain compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes to ensure product compliance with specifications.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CAPA) investigations for non-conforming materials, processes, and products.
  • Perform statistical analysis, process capability studies, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to improve production efficiency.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other applicable quality standards.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to address quality concerns, conduct supplier audits, and improve incoming material quality.
  • Train production staff on quality procedures, inspection techniques, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Utilize quality tools such as SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles to drive process improvements.
  • Create and maintain quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and test procedures.
  • Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints, working cross-functionally to implement preventive measures.
  • Participate in new product development (NPD) processes to establish quality requirements for new and existing products.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, including ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar industry standards.
  • Experience with statistical process control (SPC), GD&T, FMEA, and other quality engineering tools.
  • Proficiency in using measurement tools (CMM, calipers, micrometers, etc.) and data analysis software.
  • Problem-solving mindset with experience in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Certification such as Six Sigma Green Belt, ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), or similar is a plus.

Salary:

  • Base: 90,000k-120,000k + Bonus
