Senior Electrical & Facilities Engineer
Location: Indianapolis, IN
The Senior Electrical Engineer provides leadership and technical support for electrical engineering at the Indianapolis site, focusing on power generation, distribution systems, equipment optimization, troubleshooting, and maintenance. This role ensures that manufacturing, safety, and business goals are met, supporting major projects and plant electrical outages.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical projects from design to execution, ensuring safe and reliable power systems.
- Provide technical support for troubleshooting electrical issues in the plant.
- Maintain technical documentation for power systems, including design data and performance history.
- Manage the Arc Flash Safety program and ETAP power system modeling software.
- Drive continuous improvement in system reliability through PMO cycles and root cause analysis.
- Support electrical design and implementation for projects and maintenance teams.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety codes and standards in collaboration with the EHSS team.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies to enhance competitiveness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electromechanical Engineering, with 5-7 years of experience.
- Knowledge of power generation, distribution systems, and electrical reliability strategies.
- Experience with MV and LV motor starters, VFDs, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems.
- Familiarity with ETAP power system modeling and electrical automation protocols (e.g., IEC 61850, ModBus).
- Knowledge of industry standards (OSHA, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NFPA, NEMA, IEC).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across teams and cultures.
