Facilities Electrical Engineer
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Manufacturing Conglomerate Company who is looking to expand its team with a Facilities Electrical Engineer to lead capital projects working in tandem with maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead projects for new equipment installations to enhance and automate manufacturing processes.
- Manage the electrical and controls scope of process improvement, capital expansion, and obsolescence mitigation project
- Propose and execute improvements to existing automation systems and processes.
- Train and support manufacturing operators in using robotic automation equipment.
- Document all changes to production programs to correlate with downstream process outputs.
- Identify key input variables in the automation process to ensure robustness against minor variations in casting dimensions.
- Assist production and maintenance with various types of equipment and process issues from an engineering perspective with key emphasis on maintaining and improving reliability and productivity of systems with specialized technical expertise in the application and use of automation technology for plant facilities and processes.
- Determine and implement key output variables to validate the successful completion of critical functions within a program/piece before running additional products.
- Assist Manufacturing/Process owners in cross-functional scrap initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited institution.
- 3 years of experience in programming Allen Bradley/ControlLogix/Modicon PLC system
