My client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manufacturing Engineer II to join their Instrument Manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. This role involves recommending and implementing improvements to production designs, tools, fixtures, processes, methods, and controls. The Manufacturing Engineer II will also coordinate and assist in the manufacturing launch of new or revised products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods.
- Recommend and implement improvements to production designs, processes, methods, and controls.
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including goal setting, assembly documentation, training, and evaluation.
- Resolve design and process issues in production or as indicated by field issues.
- Design, develop, test, and/or source product changes, tools, machinery, and equipment.
- Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for the purchase of machinery and equipment.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing) or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in manufacturing of instrumentation or related field.
- Experience with ISO, GMP, and/or biotechnology industry organizations is strongly preferred.
