As Market Pricing & Discount Manager, the goal is to ensure that pricing strategies are implemented and executed in the South-East Asia Sales Area (SASEA). The role requires the following main responsibilities:
- Execute profitable pricing strategies and optimal discount management in close cooperation with Sales, Marketing, and Finance;
- Develop and drive pricing tactics in the designated markets based on strategic plans, financial objectives, and business impact;
- Manage the local pricing team in the Sales area, establish a common way of working and processes, conduct continuous performance management activities, and grow the team's competences;
- Act as a process owner for price planning in the designated sales area, develop and implement price and discount policies in alignment with global guidelines;
- Provide price analysis, discount recommendations, identify price leakages, and work on corrective actions together with the Sales organization;
- Actively participate in or lead global price-related projects and initiatives within global Pricing functions;
- Drive other commercial-related activities including supporting Sales with customer price negotiations and pricing contract management;
- Provide ROI analysis and accurate insights for decision-making on price for business deals.
Additionally, the role involves building strong collaborations and extensive networks with key stakeholders and ensuring effective communication of pricing strategies and guidance in executing them. Travel within the designated markets is part of the job; global travel may also occur occasionally.
About you
Our Client is looking for a senior professional with a university degree in economics, finance, marketing, or equivalent. The candidate should have a minimum of 6-8 years of working experience in Pricing, Sales, Marketing, Product Management, or Business Controlling in a global company, preferably in the B2B sector. A minimum of 3 years of experience in people management or leading positions is also required. To be successful in this role, the candidate needs to have strong analytical skills, be comfortable with numbers, and have knowledge of the industry. The candidate is expected to be goal-oriented, an excellent networker with strong communication skills, and have a good understanding of stakeholders' needs.
As the role is within a truly global organization, a high level of independence, the ability to work in a global matrix organization, and within a virtual, culturally diverse team is required. Fluency in verbal and written English is a requirement, and knowledge of a secondary language (Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese, Hindi) is a big advantage.
