Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Director to lead the quality management initiatives within their aviation component manufacturing facility. This role is integral to ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance within the aviation industry. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in continuous improvement, lean methodologies, and industry compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management: Oversee and maintain the quality management system, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant industry compliance standards, including FAA regulations, AS9100, and ISO 9001.
Audits and Inspections: Manage internal and external audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Root Cause Analysis: Conduct thorough root cause analysis of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate risks.
Team Leadership: Provide leadership, training, and development to the quality assurance team, fostering a culture of quality excellence.
Supplier Quality Management: Collaborate with suppliers to ensure incoming materials meet quality standards and address any quality-related concerns.
Customer Focus: Work closely with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure their satisfaction with our products and services.
Data Analysis: Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor quality performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in quality management within the aviation or aerospace industry.
In-depth knowledge of industry compliance standards, including FAA regulations, AS9100, and ISO 9001.
Strong background in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing methodologies.
