Regional Sales Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Western Regional Sales Manager to lead sales efforts in the Western United States for a renowned consumer goods manufacturer. This role is focused on building strong relationships and driving sales growth with key industry stakeholders, including architects, contractors, and developers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B sales and account management within the building products or construction-related sectors, as well as a proven track record of engaging with decision-makers to specify products for both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Leadership: Develop and execute regional sales strategies focused on expanding market share within the Western United States targeting architects, contractors, and developers.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, contractors, and developers, ensuring that our products are specified for both new and renovation projects.
- Market Expansion: Identify new opportunities and cultivate partnerships to drive sales in new territories, while also managing and growing existing accounts across the Western region.
- Consultative Selling: Work closely with architects, contractors, and developers to provide product solutions that align with project specifications, needs, and budgets.
- Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to senior management, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Project Management: Oversee the project sales cycle, from initial specification and design phases to final product delivery, ensuring seamless coordination between clients, internal teams, and distributors.
- Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product development, and operations teams to provide feedback on market trends, customer needs, and product enhancements.
- Negotiation & Closing: Lead negotiations with contractors and developers, driving successful deal closures through ensuring favorable terms.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, preferably in construction, building materials, or related industries.
- Established network within the architecture, contractor, and developer communities.
- Strong understanding of building materials, sustainable design, and construction industries.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with project management and construction software tools.
