Job Title: Senior Buyer
Location: Tempe, AZ
An aerospace company is looking for a Senior Buyer to join their team and to oversee procurement of materials and supplies from vendors with great opportunity for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Negotiate with vendors to establish long term purchase agreements
- Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to mitigate obsolescence risk and manage supplier quality issues
- Develop secondary sources for materials to enhance supply chain resilience
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and lead projects to achieve financial benefits
- Provide current material market insights for product cost-effectiveness
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field
- 2+ years of Procurement experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Completion of leadership development program preferred
