VP Supplier Performance (SRM)

The Vice President of Supplier Relationship Management is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance supplier relationships, ensuring the highest levels of quality, cost efficiency, and innovation. This role involves leading a team of professionals to manage supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and foster long-term partnerships that align with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement supplier relationship management strategies that support the company's overall business objectives.
  • Supplier Performance Management: Oversee the evaluation and continuous improvement of supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for major supplier contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that protect the company's interests.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships, including supply chain disruptions and compliance issues.
  • Innovation and Collaboration: Foster a culture of innovation by collaborating with suppliers to develop new products, processes, and technologies.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of supplier relationship managers, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, operations, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in supplier relationship management, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills; proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams; excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications such as CPSM (Certified Professional in Supply Management) or CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) are a plus.
