Maintenance Mechanic
Position Overview
The role involves overseeing the design, construction, maintenance, and modification of equipment, machinery, buildings, and other facilities, either directly or through team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Maintenance: Collaborate with the Plant Manager to maintain and recommend updates to plant facilities and equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Assist in maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
- Systems Support: Provide support for HVAC, electrical/lighting, plumbing, computer wiring, security, and janitorial services.
- Safety Audits: Conduct audits to ensure facility safety.
- Equipment Management: Participate in equipment installation, repair, and preventative maintenance.
- Training: Involve in safety, LOCK OUT TAG OUT, and HAZMAT training.
Required Qualifications
- Education and Experience: High School diploma and at least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, and regulations.
- Communication Skills: Proficiency in writing reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals, and in making effective presentations.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to a variety of problems.
- Budget Management: Capability to manage purchase budgets for parts.
