Maintenance Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced and driven Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team at a growing food and beverage manufacturing facility in Carrollton, TX. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing equipment maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a safe and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and experienced with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS systems.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
- Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure adherence to maintenance schedules and procedures
- Plan, schedule, and execute preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime and optimize performance.
- Conduct inspections of machinery and systems to identify potential issues and take corrective action.
- Coordinate with production and other departments to minimize disruptions during maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment issues to maintain operational efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis to prevent recurring problems and implement effective corrective actions.
- Manage and optimize the CMMS to track work orders, equipment history, and maintenance data.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and spare parts inventory.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards to protect team members and equipment.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing equipment reliability and efficiency.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and make data-driven recommendations to optimize maintenance processes.
Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- Proven experience in maintenance operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance practices.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards.
- Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies outside of regular business hours.
