Production Supervisor
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading automotive manufacturer who is looking to add a strong Production Supervisor to their team. This individual will oversee the Production and Operations of the plant on the night shift.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible presence on the shop floor to assist employees, uphold performance standards, and address issues as they arise.
- Ensure a safe working environment, adherence to safety regulations, and timely reporting of accidents.
- Develop and implement work schedules and assignments to achieve production targets.
- Oversee compliance with quality standards, production timelines, and work instructions.
- Cultivate positive employee relations, manage performance, and provide coaching and development opportunities.
- Organize training for new employees to ensure they meet job requirements and understand company operations.
- Prepare, compile, and submit reports on KPIs, work activities, and operations promptly.
- Conduct interviews and hire new employees as needed.
- Deliver annual performance reviews for employees.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and optimize processes.
- Coordinate work within the department and with other departments.
- Perform production control tasks in the ERP system, including creating work order packets, tracking production, validating operations, making corrections, and resolving inventory discrepancies.
- Engage employees to suggest and implement improvements in motivation, equipment performance, work methods, and cost reduction.
- Resolve people and process-related issues effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments (automotive, aerospace or machinery manufacturing preferred)
- 5 years of experience as a supervisor
- Knowledge of Lean Principles
- Knowledge of ISO Quality systems
