Director, Project Management
We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Project Management to lead our project management office (PMO). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in program management, product development, and building PMO functions from the ground up. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and implement the overall strategy for the PMO.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of project managers and coordinators.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Program Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple programs and projects.
- Ensure alignment of projects with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes to ensure successful project delivery.
Product Development:
- Collaborate with product development teams to ensure projects meet product specifications and quality standards.
- Drive innovation and improvements in product development processes.
- Ensure timely delivery of new products to market.
PMO Development:
- Establish and maintain PMO standards, processes, and best practices.
- Implement project management tools and methodologies.
- Monitor and report on the performance of the PMO and its projects.
Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, clients, and vendors.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and buy-in for projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in program management and product development.
- Demonstrated success in building and leading a PMO.
