E&I Engineer (M/F/D)

A global leader in high-performance polymers and sustainable solutions is seeking a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer to enhance operational efficiency, drive safety, and support continuous improvement initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced E&I professional to play a key role in a dynamic, forward-thinking environment at a plant specializing in resins and powder coatings.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute E&I engineering projects in the process industry, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

  • Act as the installation responsible (IV) for electrical installations, maintaining compliance with ATEX regulations.

  • Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance activities in line with NEN 3140 IV/WV and NEN 1010 standards.

  • Collaborate with a small, cross-functional team and site leadership to drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Utilize SAP for managing maintenance tasks, tracking documentation, and optimizing workflows.

  • Support HSE, quality, and compliance activities through proactive involvement in safety protocols and audits.

  • Identify and propose energy efficiency and sustainability improvements to reduce the plant's environmental footprint.


Profile:

  • 5+ years of E&I engineering experience in the process industry (Oil & Gas, FMCG, Automotive, Energy). Chemical industry experience is a plus.

  • ATEX certified with a willingness to become installation responsible (IV).

  • Certified or willing to obtain NEN 3140 IV/WV and NEN 1010 qualifications.

  • Proficiency in English (required) and Dutch (preferred or willingness to learn).

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive communicator.

  • Independent worker with the ability to collaborate effectively in a small, specialised team.

  • Demonstrated affinity for HSE, quality, and compliance.
