Position Overview:
This client is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their team in Germany. As a key part of their global contract logistics business, you will be responsible for managing and expanding their diverse portfolio of industrial customers, with a focus on warehousing.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of this client's German setup while working in a collaborative, cross-vertical approach across multiple industries. The role offers flexibility, with hybrid and remote working options available, and requires fluency in both German and English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with national key accounts to drive customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Lead and expand the customer base across a diverse range of industries, with a primary focus on contract logistics services.
  • Act as the main point of contact for key clients, providing high-level support and strategic direction to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customised solutions and identify cross-vertical opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with sales and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of freight solutions, optimising supply chain management.
  • Develop and implement account strategies to drive growth and profitability in line with the client's objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to ensure the client remains competitive and innovative.
  • Ensure that all customer queries are addressed promptly and professionally, maintaining a high level of service at all times.
  • Report on account performance, including revenue and profit tracking, forecasting, and KPIs.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in key account management within the freight forwarding industry, with a focus on air and ocean freight.
  • Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and transportation solutions.
  • Experience working with a diverse portfolio of customers across various industries
  • Ability to work in a cross-vertical approach, understanding the needs of various industries.
  • Fluency in both German and English is essential for communication and client interactions.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a focus on customer success.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to report on key metrics and account performance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
