Production Supervisor
DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading aviation manufacturer who is looking to add a strong Production Supervisor to their team.
Responsibilities
- Interview, hire, coach, and train employees.
- Plan, assign, and direct work.
- Project weekly, monthly, and quarterly labor loads to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Ensure department equipment is calibrated and suitable for use.
- Oversee production scheduling, material requisitioning, labor reporting, quality of work, efficiency improvements, housekeeping, and personnel training.
- Ensure operators are properly trained.
- Coordinate with quality assurance inspectors to meet quality standards.
- Provide training to develop employee skills and ensure efficient production operations.
- Coordinate cross-training initiatives as needed.
- Demonstrated Lean background with effective root cause and corrective action skills.
- Identify and assess risks, issues, and conflicts that may impact the schedule, and develop mitigation plans.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of experience as a supervisor in a manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive or heavy machinery preferred)
- Working knowledge of Aerospace specifications and standards.
- Experience with composite layup fabrication techniques and manufacturing methods.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
- Meets commitments, works independently, accepts accountability, handles changes, sets personal standards, stays focused under pressure, and meets attendance/punctuality requirements.
