Strategic Regional Pricing Manager - Central Europe
Location: Frankfurt, Germany (remote within Germany possible)
Our client, a global player in the freight forwarding industry is looking for a highly driven, strategic, and process-oriented individual to join our client as the Regional Strategic Pricing Manager for Central Europe. This role predominantly focuses on the strategic pricing of air and road freight services , working closely with our customer solutions and tender management teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Pricing Leadership: Lead the strategic pricing efforts for air and road freight in the Central Europe region, with a focus on DACH and Benelux, markets. Develop and implement effective pricing strategies aligned with customer needs and market trends.
- Customer Solutions and Tender Management: Collaborate with the Senior Management and cross functional teams, across the region to create tailored pricing solutions for clients. Develop a deep understanding of customer requirements to support the strategic pricing process.
- Team Leadership and Collaboration: Lead a virtual team focused on RFQ responses, ensuring smooth coordination across different freight modes (air, road, and future ocean freight). Build synergies between teams, optimizing processes for faster, more efficient pricing delivery.
- Process Improvement and Automation: Drive the automation of pricing processes, including the ownership and refinement of pricing tools. Develop and ensure future strategies and processes are streamlined more strategic.
- Collaboration Across Verticals: Work closely with internal stakeholders from air freight, road freight, and ocean freight to drive pricing decisions that optimise profitability and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Market Intelligence: Stay on top of market trends, competitor pricing, and industry changes to inform and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in strategic pricing within the logistics or freight forwarding industry, particularly with air and road freight. Experience in managing and leading teams is a desirable for this position.
- Strong Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyse complex data, identify trends, and develop pricing strategies that align with business objectives.
- Process-Driven and Detail-Oriented: Highly organised with a strong focus on process optimisation, attention to detail, and speed. Ability to balance fast-paced decision-making with meticulous execution.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Strong leadership capabilities with experience leading cross-functional teams and collaborating across different areas of the business. Ability to manage both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German and English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
