Manufacturing Manager
One of the nation's most reputable food and beverage manufacturing companies is searching for a Manufacturing Manager to join their team. The manufacturing manager will oversee all aspects of plant and process operations, including safety, quality, maintenance, processing, packaging, sanitation, and wastewater management. This role involves coordinating plant systems, processes, and resources to enhance productivity and maximize efficiency and financial performance. Additionally, the position may involve directing the finished goods warehouse.
The Manufacturing Manager will have the following responsibilities:
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies, manage KPIs, optimize operations schedules, and improve processes to reduce costs.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Management team to develop budgets and strategic plans, manage material usage, and maximize yield while minimizing waste.
- Coordinate plant resources to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulations, corporate policies, and customer expectations.
- Provide leadership and supervision to plant employees, manage goals and objectives, offer feedback, and develop mentoring programs for leadership succession.
- Ensure compliance with cGMPs, food safety, and prerequisite programs.
The ideal Manufacturing Manager candidate will have the following skill set:
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in plant processing, manufacturing, maintenance, quality, and/or food manufacturing
- Extensive experience managing multiple departments, plants, and processes
- Preferred: SQF Practitioner certification
- Preferred: HACCP training and certification
