Quality Procurement Manager, Japan

Objective: To stabilize the quality of storage battery-related products by collaborating with the QA department to develop early solutions to quality issues caused by suppliers and improve delivery quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the QA department and suppliers to minimize the impact of quality problems, investigate causes early, and implement countermeasures.
  • Regularly visit suppliers to assess the status and effectiveness of countermeasures for past defects and ensure reliable prevention of recurrence.
  • Implement measures to foster quality awareness among supplier management and promote company-wide quality improvement efforts.

Requirements:

  • General knowledge and operational experience in improving the quality of industrial products.
  • General knowledge and operational experience in the manufacture of industrial products.
  • Extensive experience in negotiations and management with suppliers.
  • General knowledge and operational experience in the purchase of industrial products.
  • Experience in organizational management.
  • Experience in improvement activities related to procurement is a plus.

Skills:

  • Logical thinking ability.
  • Planning and milestone management skills.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English (business level).
  • Basic PC skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).

Preferred:

  • Quality-related experience in the battery industry.
  • Experience in purchasing electrical control products and quality work.
  • Experience in purchasing and quality work of canned products and sheet metal processed products.
  • Experience in development and mass production purchasing.
  • Experience in various negotiations, including overall business conditions and optimization of order scope.
  • Experience in direct negotiations with overseas suppliers.
  • Supplier performance evaluation and contract management.
  • Experience in managing outsourced work such as design, processing, and inspection.

  • Good at coordination inside and outside the company.
  • Enjoys constantly changing situations and can respond flexibly to changes.
  • Can identify issues independently and take action.
  • High communication skills (written and oral).
  • Can quickly catch up in fields where they have no prior experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Use of common IT tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Dialpad, SmartHR, Money Forward, and Bakurak.
