The Vice President of Business Development plays a critical role in steering our client through pivotal growth phases, including the execution of paid pilot programs, and driving towards full commercialization within the next 24 months. You will leverage existing Master Service Agreements (MSAs) and relationships with leading operators, expand market presence, and ensure innovative solutions meet the evolving needs of the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and execute a dynamic commercial strategy to capitalize on our client's technology's market potential, focusing on the oil and gas sector's need for safer, more efficient inspection methods.
  • Deepen and expand relationships with key industry players, building on existing MSAs and fostering new strategic partnerships.
  • Drive the commercial success of pilot programs, transitioning them into long-term contracts and ensuring they deliver value to both our client and their customers.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Development to align offerings with market demands and customer feedback.
  • Lead and expand the commercial team to support the company's growth, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Lead market analysis efforts to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
  • Oversee the sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring revenue and growth targets are met.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Experience in innovation, new technology, robotics, or incubators could be helpful.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial roles within the oil and gas industry, preferably with exposure to storage tank inspection and maintenance.
  • Deep understanding of the energy industry's challenges and opportunities, particularly in areas relevant to robotics and software solutions.
  • Ability to wear multiple hats, adapt to diverse roles beyond the job description, and contribute to fundraising efforts.
  • Self-starter attitude, capable of driving projects forward in an unsupervised environment and motivating teams towards shared goals.
  • Proven track record of driving growth and navigating the commercialization process for innovative technologies.
  • Strong network within the oil and gas industry, with the ability to leverage relationships for strategic advantage.
  • Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to business development and team management.
