Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the management, maintenance, and enhancement of all plant process control networks, ensuring the seamless operation of PLC logic programming and HMI operator interfaces.
- Offer comprehensive engineering and technical support to enhance manufacturing and maintenance efficiency, focusing on the electrical equipment and automated systems' troubleshooting, rebuilding, and repair.
- Spearhead initiatives to safeguard cybersecurity within internal process control networks in collaboration with Corporate IT, ensuring the integrity and security of our operations.
- Champion the discovery and integration of cutting-edge control instrumentation and equipment to elevate our manufacturing processes.
- Drive the successful execution of automation projects aimed at the continual advancement of manufacturing operations, including the design, selection, and deployment of innovative equipment and systems enhancements.
Minimum Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of proven experience as a Controls Engineer within a commercial manufacturing setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial process control, including proficiency in PLC, DCS, and HMI programming.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in a complex manufacturing environment, showcasing strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across various functions.
- Experience with legacy control systems migration, with a proven track record of leading multifunctional project teams.
- Expertise in various PLC programming languages and HMI interfaces, such as Allen Bradley and Wonderware, is highly regarded.
