Job title: Manufacturing Engineer - CNC
Location: West Palm Beach, FL
DSJ Global is partenered with a leading Firearm Manufacturing Organization out of West Palm Beach Fl on a new Manufacturing Engineer role. This role is on the New Product Development and Sustainment Engineering team to create CNC programs for mills, lathes, EDM, and similar equipment, ensuring consistent precision in components and assemblies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs using CAM software and long-hand programming based on engineering drawings and CAD models.
- Design tooling, fixtures, and work holding solutions for stable and efficient machining.
- Select cutting tools and analyze machining processes to improve cycle times, reduce scrap, and boost productivity.
- Implement Lean manufacturing principles to enhance CNC machining operations.
- Provide training and support to CNC operators, fostering continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in CNC programming, proficiency in CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Gibbs CAM).
- Strong CNC machining knowledge, including G-code programming and toolpath optimization.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM integration, GD&T, and machining processes.
- Ability to operate various CNC machine controls and support safety policies.
Salary: $85,000-$95,000
