The Plant Engineer will oversee and work with all engineering and maintenance activities within our manufacturing facility. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, reliability, and compliance with industry standards. Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, technicians, and maintenance staff.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure seamless plant operations and project execution.
- Develop and manage the engineering department budget, including capital expenditures and maintenance costs.
Operational Efficiency:
- Oversee the maintenance and optimization of all plant equipment and machinery.
- Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Implement and monitor preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and manage engineering projects, including new installations, upgrades, and modifications.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure all engineering and maintenance activities comply with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Develop and enforce safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment
Technical Expertise:
- Provide technical support and guidance to resolve complex engineering challenges.
- Implement innovative solutions to enhance plant performance and sustainability.

Continuous Improvement:
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Utilize Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes and reduce waste.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve plant efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plant engineering or maintenance management within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and maintenance practices.
- Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
- In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
