Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee our manufacturing operations in Shelby County, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on operational excellence (OPEX) and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to driving efficiency, quality, and safety within our plant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily plant operations, ensuring efficient and safe production processes.
- Implement and maintain OPEX initiatives to optimize performance, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Lead continuous improvement projects using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or similar frameworks.
- Manage production schedules, workforce allocation, and resource management to meet production targets.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality assurance and product development.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses to meet financial targets.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement among staff.
- Mentor and develop plant personnel, promoting a high-performance work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a proven track record in plant management.
- Strong expertise in OPEX methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in manufacturing software and data analysis tools.
