Role Overview: As the Procurement Manager - Logistics, you will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services necessary for our operations. You will work closely with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal teams to support the company's growth and operational efficiency. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our business during its scaling phase.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for logistics and supply chain operations, aligned with the company's overall goals.
- Manage and optimize the end-to-end procurement process, from supplier selection and negotiation to contract management.
- Identify and build relationships with key suppliers and logistics providers to ensure the best terms and service levels.
- Monitor market trends, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain continuity.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and product development, to forecast needs and drive efficiency.
- Analyze procurement data and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and delivery.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to procurement and logistics.
- Implement and manage procurement software/tools to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in the FMCG sector.
- Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost reduction and value creation.
- Excellent knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
