DSJ Global is currently seeking a dynamic individual to take on the role of Project Manager, responsible for overseeing and coordinating various projects related to the development, manufacturing, and distribution of firearms. This pivotal position entails planning and executing project timelines, managing budgets, coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and successfully completing new product projects. The Project Manager's primary function is to facilitate program success by aligning people and eliminating obstacles. As the Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects align with organizational goals, meet quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. This high-visibility role involves presenting project status, risks, and key program metrics to the executive leadership team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams through the Product Development Process, from concept development to launch and commercialization.
- Present project updates, risks, and metrics to the executive leadership team.
- Guide multifaceted cross-functional teams, including Design, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Compliance, Quality, and Purchasing.
- Ensure project success and alignment with business objectives throughout the product development journey.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, risk registers, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Facilitate timely and effective communication, providing continuous updates to stakeholders.
- Manage project meetings, document meeting minutes and decisions, and track action items diligently.
- Foster collaboration between the project team, the business, and other stakeholders.
- Integrate input early in process development and quality planning.
- Establish robust communication channels for stakeholders.
- Organize and guide distributed, cross-functional resources towards successful outcomes.
- Act as the primary liaison for leaders and stakeholders across the organization.
- Engage stakeholders in shaping end products and processes.
- Contribute to project prioritization decisions with data-driven insights.
- Conduct necessary research and attend trade shows and events as required.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all relevant standards and safety protocols.
Qualifications & Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or relevant scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
- PMP Certification or other PMI certification preferred.
- Expertise in Microsoft Project and critical chain analysis.
- Experience with ProChain scheduling methodology.
- Expert skills in managing project scope, schedule, budget, and risk register.
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred.
- Experience leading diverse and complex projects and programs.
- Knowledge of R&D, product development, and risk management activities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills.
- Experience participating in internal and external audits.
