Sales Manager
Location: France
This client is a global freight forwarder. As they expand their presence in France, they are seeking dynamic and experienced Sales Managers to join our team, they will consider candidates from across France although Paris and the Northern France are preferable in combination with a flexible hybrid working model.
Job Summary: As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth by acquiring new clients and retaining key accounts across multiple verticals. You will manage a broad and diverse portfolio, handling complex accounts and maintaining strong relationships with senior stakeholders. Your role will involve working cross-functionally and interacting with important profiles both within and outside the company. Candidates with experience in both freight forwarding an contract logistics are welcome.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue new business opportunities across various sectors. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
* Account Retention: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty. Develop strategies to retain key accounts and manage complex customer relationships.
* Cross-Vertical Management: Work across multiple industry verticals, managing a diverse portfolio of clients and tailoring solutions to meet their unique needs.
* Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally. Serve as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring alignment with their business objectives.
* Complex Account Management: Navigate intricate customer matrices and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, finance, customer service) to deliver customised solutions that meet client needs.
* Bilingual Communication: Communicate effectively in both French and English, ensuring clear and professional interactions with clients and internal teams.
* Market Expertise: Stay informed about industry trends and the competitive landscape. Utilise market insights to identify new opportunities and enhance customer offerings.
* Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction. Coordinate with various departments to address client needs and resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
* Proven track record in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation industry.
* Strong experience in client acquisition, account retention, and managing complex customer relationships across diverse verticals.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of customer needs and industry dynamics.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Experience in the automotive, industrial, retail, or aerospace sectors is advantageous but not mandatory.
