Job Title: Senior Procurement Manager
Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas
Position Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Senior Procurement Specialist to manage procurement activities for our Infrastructure division, with an emphasis on solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in handling substantial purchase orders and contracts within industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and execute procurement strategies that support project objectives.
- Oversee the complete procurement lifecycle, from supplier prequalification to contract finalization.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including development, project management, engineering, and project controls.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Develop and manage procurement plans and timelines.
- Create detailed bid packages (RFPs) and manage the solicitation process.
- Perform commercial evaluations of bids and address bidder queries and amendments.
- Lead negotiations on pricing, schedules, and contract terms.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Manage procurement commitments and change orders using internal systems.
- Supervise contractor invoicing and purchase order payments.
- Maintain comprehensive records of procurement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 10 years of experience in procurement, focusing on high-value purchase orders and contracts in industrial sectors.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes, tools, techniques, and legal aspects.
- Familiarity with electrical substations, transmission and distribution, wind, solar, and storage technologies is advantageous.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly NetSuite, is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
