Operations Manager
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager to oversee daily operations within our chemical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, managing resources, ensuring product quality, and maintaining a safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, and the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Oversight: Manage the daily operations of the chemical manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, timely delivery, and quality compliance.
Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline production processes, reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower costs while maintaining product quality and safety standards.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and performance excellence.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with industry safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Promote a strong safety culture and oversee safety audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
Production Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate production schedules and resource allocation to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance productivity, quality, and operational effectiveness.
Reporting & KPIs: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare reports for senior management, and implement corrective actions to meet production and quality goals.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management within the chemical manufacturing industry or a similar sector.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Solid understanding of chemical manufacturing processes and safety regulations.
Proficiency in process optimization and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
