Job Title: Lean Six Sigma Black Belt
Position Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Black Belt to lead strategic continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operations in the Greater DFW area. This role will serve as a change agent, collaborating across functions to drive operational excellence and process improvements aligned with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead high-impact Lean Six Sigma projects from conception to completion to improve process quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
Facilitate root cause analysis and problem-solving workshops (Kaizen events, value stream mapping, etc.).
Mentor and coach Green Belts and project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Collect and analyze data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
Develop and present project updates, recommendations, and business cases to leadership.
Ensure alignment of improvement efforts with strategic goals and KPIs.
Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.
Promote Lean culture through training, standard work, 5S, and visual management practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math, Science, or related technical field.
4 to 10 years of related work experience in manufacturing or process improvement roles, preferably in the building materials or related heavy industrial sector.
Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification required (ASQ, IASSC, or equivalent).
Proven track record of leading successful LSS projects with measurable ROI.
Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (Minitab, JMP, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Familiarity with ERP and manufacturing systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) a plus.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in the building materials industry (e.g., concrete, gypsum, roofing, insulation, glass, etc.).
Working knowledge of ISO standards and quality systems.
Exposure to TPM, SMED, and other advanced lean methodologies.
