Receiving Manager
Position Overview: The Receiving Manager will be responsible for managing all receiving operations, ensuring the accurate and timely receipt of aerospace materials and components, and leading a team of 90 individuals. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to optimize processes for maximum efficiency in a highly regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and motivate a team of 90 receiving personnel to achieve operational goals.
- Receiving Operations: Oversee the receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming aerospace materials and components to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to improve receiving processes, reduce errors, and enhance efficiency.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory control to ensure accurate tracking and storage of received goods.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure all receiving operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track team performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, warehouse, and logistics, to ensure seamless operations.
- Problem-Solving: Address and resolve any issues related to receiving operations promptly and effectively.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate records and generate reports on receiving activities and team performance.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in receiving or warehouse management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Leadership: Proven leadership skills with experience managing large teams.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of receiving processes, inventory management, and aerospace industry standards.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
