Supply Chain Manager

We are supporting a global leader in materials testing equipment is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily supply chain operations and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple locations. The position plays a key role in driving efficiency, improving supplier performance, and supporting operational goals in a manufacturing environment.


What You'll Do:

  • Manage day-to-day supply chain operations.

  • Support sourcing strategies aligned with business goals for cost, quality, and delivery.

  • Oversee purchasing activities and vendor relationships to ensure supply reliability and performance.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including production, planning, engineering, and finance.

  • Monitor and manage inventory to meet service level and financial targets.

  • Identify and implement process improvements and lean practices within the supply chain.

  • Support supplier evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations.

  • Contribute to broader sourcing projects and operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Coach and support a small team of supply chain professionals.

  • Participate in cross-functional projects and leverage ERP systems for planning and analytics.

  • Travel to supplier sites and other company locations as needed (approximately 10%).


What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5-7 years of experience in supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, and MRP/ERP systems.

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory control methods (e.g., Kanban, pull systems).

  • Familiarity with Continuous Improvement approaches.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting and work cross-functionally.

  • Proficiency with ERP systems and data analysis tools.

  • Demonstrated leadership potential with a focus on team development and accountability.
