Supply Chain Manager
We are supporting a global leader in materials testing equipment is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily supply chain operations and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives across multiple locations. The position plays a key role in driving efficiency, improving supplier performance, and supporting operational goals in a manufacturing environment.
What You'll Do:
Manage day-to-day supply chain operations.
Support sourcing strategies aligned with business goals for cost, quality, and delivery.
Oversee purchasing activities and vendor relationships to ensure supply reliability and performance.
Collaborate with internal teams including production, planning, engineering, and finance.
Monitor and manage inventory to meet service level and financial targets.
Identify and implement process improvements and lean practices within the supply chain.
Support supplier evaluation, selection, and contract negotiations.
Contribute to broader sourcing projects and operational efficiency initiatives.
Coach and support a small team of supply chain professionals.
Participate in cross-functional projects and leverage ERP systems for planning and analytics.
Travel to supplier sites and other company locations as needed (approximately 10%).
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5-7 years of experience in supply chain or procurement within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of sourcing, supplier management, and MRP/ERP systems.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing and inventory control methods (e.g., Kanban, pull systems).
- Familiarity with Continuous Improvement approaches.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting and work cross-functionally.
Proficiency with ERP systems and data analysis tools.
Demonstrated leadership potential with a focus on team development and accountability.
