Key Responsibilities:
Develop the scope of work, cost estimates, and schedules for capital projects and engineering studies.
Generate ideas and propose projects to improve manufacturing performance.
Manage detailed mechanical design and write construction bid packages.
Evaluate and select process equipment and outside contract services.
Review contractor field work, monitor safe work practices, and issue work permits.
Prepare capital RACE's, including HS&E evaluations and MOC reports.
Prepare purchase requisitions, plant work orders, and monthly cost/project status reports.
Provide assistance to plant personnel and outside contractors to troubleshoot problems.
Provide start-up assistance on capital projects.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably mechanical or chemical.
10 or more years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; chemical experience is a plus.
