Locations: Greater Asheville, NC
Position Overview: Our client, a global leader in the production of self-adhesive label materials, is currently searching for a Quality Manager in the Greater Asheville, NC area. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in quality management and process improvement within the paper, packaging, or CPG industries. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Foster a strong culture of Quality Excellence with continuous improvement and innovation across the facility.
- Oversee quality control and food safety management systems, including risk management.
- Support continuous improvement activities at the facility and collaborate with other facilities on the same.
- Manage a team of 7 (mix of Quality Engineers and Quality Laboratory Technicians ).
- Conduct internal ISO 9001/4001 audits and coordinate corrective actions for ISO 9001 compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of managerial experience in quality control or quality assurance within paper, packaging, coating/finishing, etc.
- Prefer for experience with coating or product development in pressure sensitive labelling industry
- Prior change management experience
- Strong background in data analytics
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification
