Regional EHS Specialist
Job Summary:
The Regional EHS Specialist is responsible for implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs across multiple manufacturing sites. This role ensures compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other regulatory standards, and supports a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and management of EHS programs across all sites in accordance with corporate standards and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and other applicable regulations.
Conduct and coordinate regular EHS audits to identify risks, ensure compliance, and drive corrective actions.
Support and review regulatory reporting requirements, including OSHA 300 logs, hazardous waste, Tier II, stormwater, and wastewater reports.
Assist in the investigation of workplace incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Develop and maintain a system for sharing incidents and lessons learned across all locations.
Partner with leadership on facility design and equipment changes to ensure safety and ergonomic standards are met.
Provide technical guidance and training to site-level EHS staff.
Maintain documentation and ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of all EHS programs.
Support worker's compensation efforts and regulatory inspections.
Lead and participate in annual EHS team meetings and monthly reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, or related technical field.
3-5 years of multi-site EHS experience, including regulatory compliance and program development.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and related safety/environmental regulations.
Experience developing and delivering safety training programs.
Ability to interact with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance across multiple states.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple priorities.
