Reliability Engineer

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading Specialty Chemical Manufacturing organization who is looking to add a Reliability Engineer to their team in Douglas, GA. The Reliability Engineer will act as the owner of the site Mechanical Integrity program. You will provide day-to-day leadership and expertise in reliability engineering activities that evaluate and improve the reliability of equipment, components, and processes using engineering methodologies and tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that Predictive & Preventative maintenance programs are in place and completed by their scheduled due dates.
  • Aligns people, resources, and methods with the critical objectives for reliability in product design standards and operational goals.
  • Develops capacity for analysis, testing, and measurements that produce effective risk-based failure mitigation plans and actionable proposals for new or revised equipment designs, manufacturing processes, and testing specifications.
  • Lead the utilization of instrumentation and automation technology to increase the overall equipment effectiveness and reliability, increase production unit availability, reduce maintenance activities, and lower overall total maintenance costs.
  • Maintain and modify existing process control applications and operator interface systems.
  • Identify and install new applications and interfaces to increase process safety, operability, and profitability.
  • Provide process control support during project development, installation, and startup.
  • Generate and champion new Industrial Automation improvement projects which enhance unit operation, effectiveness, quality, or operability.
  • Design and development of loop sheets, equipment control wiring diagrams, and motor control circuitry
  • Develop control system architecture and estimated costs for a site centralized control room and support project execution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or other Engineering discipline.
  • Reliability or mechanical integrity experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Experience with Reliability Improvement tools (Root Cause Failure Analysis, preventative/predictive maintenance, KPIs)
